Entertainment Giant Fremantle Media North America, producers of hit shows like American Idol, America’s Got Talent and The Price is Right, this week named former gay adult film star Billy Kemp as the company’s new Vice-President of Casting and Talent. Working under the name, Jordan Young, Kemp starred in and wrote a string of hit gay porn titles in the 90’s and was at one time even the roommate of legendary gay porn director and producer, Chi Chi La Rue.
Though Kemp has made a name for himself in mainstream television over the last decade working as a casting executive on shows like Temptation Island and Elimidate, his introduction to Hollywood came via the world of gay adult film, where he quickly became one of the most popular Asian performers in the history of the business starring in titles like Lost In Vegas, The Freshmen and Idol In The Sky to name a few.
Not just a performer, Kemp also wrote a number of films with his porn mentor La Rue that became quite successful and he was even nominated for a 2003 Grabby Erotic Gay Video Award for Best Screenplay in respect of his work on Falcon Studios’ Deep South: The Big and the Easy.
In a 1997 interview with HX Magazine, Kemp who has in the past been linked romantically to some of the hottest names in gay porn, like Logan Reed, Sam Dixon and Tom Katt, foreshadowed his planned move beyond gay adult film and into mainstream media.“
I’d like to ‘go legit,’” he told the magazine at the time. “Although I don't consider what I’m doing not legit. I don't deny it. I’m comfortable with it. It’s a form of media that’s out there; it’s just not as widely accepted.”
That said, Kemp’s current professional bio omits his accomplishments in the oeuvre of gay porn.

New Poll Shows Support for Proposition 8 Growing

A new poll shows support for California's Proposition 8 has grown in an 11-day period, reports CBS 5, the San Francisco Bay Area affiliate that commissioned the survey. Proposition 8 would rescind marriage equality for same-sex couples if passed. The California supreme court legalized same-sex marriage on May 15.
Results found that among 670 likely voters, 47% now support the ban on marriage equality, compared with 42% who oppose. Ironically, a poll conducted 11 days earlier found the same five-point margin, but that time in the opposition's favor. SurveyUSA, which conducted the research October 4–5, indicates that the only demographic to shift its position is young voters, typically the hardest to poll and predict.
The poll has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.6 percentage points, which makes the race still too close to call, says the pollster. A summary released by SurveyUSA concluded, "Polling on ballot measures in general is an inexact science, and polling on homosexuality in general is a tricky business. So, not too much should be made of the five points that separates 'yes' and 'no' today.
"
As in previous polls, support for a gay marriage ban was strongest among self-identified conservatives and regular churchgoers. Liberals and those who consider themselves less religious made up the lion's share of the opposition.

Sure I coulda had a little more tact, but eh when dealing with someone like you tact is NOT of any real importance. Now I wouldn't call myself bitter. Perhaps at the time I was a little jilted. I felt more than a little used. I wasn't seeking revenge . . closure was more like it, how was I to know that the more closure I sought, the more "information" came spewing forth? I've never been a quitter and I decided to follow it through and see where the river of Edward Junsay shit was gonna take me . . . wow was I surprised, so naw revenge was hardly anything I wanted from you. As far as being Obsessively focused on smearing your name . . . YOU BET YOUR SWEET SWEET ASS PUNK'N But in hindsight, I got what I and then some. I got things you tried so hard to get, and couldn't.
